Ludovic Morlot returns to Seattle Symphony for season finale concerts

Tuesday June 24th

Last week, Conductor Emeritus Ludovic Morlot returned to Seattle Symphony for their season finale concerts to complete their season-long celebration of Ravel’s 150th anniversary year at Benaroya Hall.

Ludovic conducts a program of the composer’s ‘Rapsodie espagnole’, ‘Sites auriculaires’, and his iconic ‘Boléro’ alongside a world premiere performance of Allison Loggins-Hull’s flute concerto and the rarely heard Symphony for Brass & Percussion by Gunther Schuller.

Watch Ludovic’s concert on Seattle Symphony+ this July.

“his reading of Rapsodie espagnole was steeped in subtlety and suspense… always attentive to nuance… making interpretive points with striking economy and maximal impact… Without overstatement, Morlot let Ravel’s music speak on its own inexorable terms.”
