Ludovic Morlot leads season opening concerts with Pacific Symphony and Barcelona Symphony

Monday September 29th

Ludovic Morlot kicks off the 25/26 season leading the opening concerts of the Pacific Symphony and Barcelona Symphony Orchestras.

In the US, Ludovic returned to the Pacific Symphony Orchestra for their opening week, joined by Alessio Bax for Rachaminov’s Piano Concerto No.2 alongside Sibelius’ Symphony No.1.

"Technically, the performance was impeccable. Morlot's precision and attention to detail brought out the clarity in Sibelius’s orchestration, and the orchestra responded with shimmering textures and finely tuned ensemble work... Morlot's reading of Sibelius's Symphony No.1 was a demonstration of technical mastery and orchestral excellence."
