Ludovic Morlot returns to conduct the Boston Symphony at Tanglewood

23 August

On Sunday 25 August, Ludovic Morlot returns to Boston Symphony to conduct Beethoven Symphony No.9 at Tanglewood Music Festival, replacing Hannu Lintu. Morlot has a strong connection with Boston Symphony Orchestra, having previously held the Seiji Ozawa Fellowship at Tanglewood in 2001, and subsequently appointed the orchestra’s assistant conductor from 2004-2007.

Highlights of the upcoming season include subscription concerts with Los Angeles Philharmonic, San Diego and Seattle Symphony Orchestras, in addition to a Boulez celebration with BBC Philharmonic. As Music Director of Barcelona Symphony Orchestra, Morlot takes the orchestra on a European tour to the Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Aix Easter Festival, and to l’Auditorium in his home city of Lyon. He also conducts Debussy Pelléas et Mélisande at Dallas Opera, and Part Two of Les Troyens in concert at Seattle Opera.
