Ludovic Returns to the Seattle Symphony

1 June

On Thursday 1 June, Conductor Emeritus Ludovic Morlot returns to the Seattle Symphony for the first of three concerts at Benaroya Hall this week.

Transporting the audience to his native France in an exciting programme of works by French composers, Ludovic opens the concert with Debussy’s La damoiselle élue, featuring soprano Jane Archibald and mezzo-soprano Sarah Larsen, followed by Dutilleux’s Correspondances song cycle, performed by Archibald.

Organist Thierry Escaich will then join Ludovic and the orchestra to perform his own work La barque solaire, before closing the evening with Saint-Saëns’s sublime Organ Symphony.

The concert repeats on Saturday June 3 at 8pm, and Sunday June 4 at 2pm.
